The course consists of  12.5 hours of childbirth education, instruction and practice in hypnosis and breathing techniques.

When are the Set Classes?

We aim to offer a weekend course (held over two Saturdays) and evening classes each month (see dates below). Class numbers are strictly limited, normally with a maximum of three couples each class to ensure maximum individual attention. Please book early therefore to avoid disappointment. NB: If the dates are inconvenient for you - or you are close to your birthing date (EDD) please contact us for other options - we will do our best to accommodate you. We offer four different options for your HypnoBirthing course; choose the one that suits you best.

Individual Classes

Spoil yourself with an Individual one-to-one course; you can have the course tailored to suit you and have the freedom to talk through any individual concerns, issues or worries you have. You can also enjoy the luxury of arranging the classes at times and days to suit you (subject to availability)  in the comfort of your own home! (ideal if you're also planning a home birth). Due to the nature of this course format, couples will often get even greater personal benefit from this longer, more individualised course - previous Individual courses have been known, on occasion, to last up to 15 hours! In addition, Individual courses also offer optional ongoing email or phone support during and after the course up to six weeks after your baby's birth. Arrange a class yourself

Know another mum-to-be? Get together with another couple (or more!) and enjoy the course in the comfort of your own home(s) - at your leisure. Wonderful for bonding with other couples - for baby-sitting and support after your births! As a bonus we'll even knock 15% off the normal price for each of you! Booked until May 2008.

Set Classes

The perfect format for a busy life or if you're close to your due date; you get to cover the course in a shorter time without the information overwhelm that can come from a full week-end (saturday/sunday) course. You also have plenty of time to try out and familiarise yourself with the techniques in between classes - perfect for getting the most out of class practices and enabling you to come back with any questions on how to adapt the techniques to suit you. Classes are held in Milton Keynes* at  'Counselling Works' -  in the historic town of Stony Stratford. Lunch in one of the many great pubs or restaurants - or take a break from MK: Centre shopping and enjoy a browse around the quaint shops of an Old English Market Town.

Evening Classes

For those who prefer a more slower, more spacious learning environment we offer five evening classes, held on a Monday evening from 7- 9.30 in Milton Keynes or Leighton Buzzard. With this course you get the maximum time between classes to try out, adapt and perfect your techniques. Recommended as the perfect format for learning HypnoBirthing - but impractical for couples with busy or conflicting timetables - you'll really get the hang of HypnoBirthing with these classes!

Advantages over other self-hypnosis courses/CD's

Yes, there are other hypnotherapists offering various kinds of 'positive birth' sessions or CD's, but HypnoBirthing® is much more than that. HypnoBirthing® is a complete birth education programme which has been used successfully in the US for over 17 years!

* If set classes classes run with less than three couples arrangements are normally made to hold the class in a more cosy, informal  atmosphere - either in a couples' home in Milton Keynes (subject to availability and convenience) or in my own home.
